MORE FLEXIBILITY FOR MANITOBA LICENSEES

Employees who are under the age of 18 will soon be able to work in age-restricted lounges following the Manitoba government’s revamp of the Liquor and Gaming Regulation. Youth will be able to work in licensed lounges attached to a dining room in the same way they currently do in licensed dining rooms. The Liquor and Gaming Authority (LGA) hopes to implement this regulation as soon as possible.

This amendment was made in direct response to a joint request Restaurants Canada made with provincial hospitality associations.
