 This annual guide provides actionable insights and a comprehensive outlook on Canada’s foodservice industry.

Restaurants Canada’s Senior Economist Chris Elliott and Ipsos Canada’s VP of Marketing Asad Amin will discuss what lies ahead for Canada’s foodservice industry in 2018 and beyond, and how operators can adapt to changing consumer trends.

There will also be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation.

Some of the report highlights include:

  • Annual total foodservice sales are projected to reach $88.7 billion in 2018
  • Millennials are easily the key drivers of growth, with traffic up 9% (triple the size of any other cohort)
  • More than four in 10 Canadians base their decision on which restaurant to visit based on whether the restaurant offers free Wi-Fi access
